Challenge
As part of the Istanbul WTE project in Turkey, a standalone high-voltage generator terminal box with an output of 100.96 MVA was supplied. The unit is designed for the safe power output connection and grounding of the generator neutral point. The terminal box ensures a stable connection to the high-voltage generator and supports measurement and testing of power parameters in the industrial environment of a waste-to-energy plant.
Technical solution
IVEP supplied two variants of terminal boxes:
MTB – power terminal box
- Purpose: power output connection from the high-voltage generator
- Connection: NSPBD conductors
- Design: self-supporting frame and cover panels made of non-magnetic stainless steel sheet
- Testing: temperature rise of the enclosure verified by testing
- Scope of supply: short-circuit links for primary testing
- Measuring transformers: certified and calibrated
N – neutral terminal box
- Purpose: generator neutral connection and grounding via a transformer
- Connection: NSPBD conductors
- Design: self-supporting frame and cover panels made of non-magnetic stainless steel sheet
- Testing: temperature rise of the enclosure verified by testing
- Measuring transformers: certified and calibrated
